Due out September 7 on Nettwerk America, BLOOM is a double-disc mix album from GABRIEL & DRESDEN (G&D) that intends to stand the test of time. For it, the remix/production team of Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden chose a handful of tracks by other artists they felt passionate about (Sarah McLachlan, Junkie XL, Dido, Lily Hayden), as well as select gems from their own catalog (“Lament,” “Dub Horizon,” “Alive” [Gabriel only]). Then, using those cuts as pivotal points, they round the program out with new original compositions, encompassing all aspects of production in electronic music which makes Bloom much more than a traditional mix.

More than half of the songs on the album were produced by GABRIEL & DRESDEN or by Josh Gabriel. The majority of works are exclusive to Bloom including G&D’s remix of Dido’s “Don’t Leave Home” (Gabriel & Dresden Mix); original G&D tracks “Arcadia,” “Serendipity” and “Athena”; Josh Gabriel originals “Switch” and “Alive” (Bloom’s radio single); and cuts by Andian, Motorcycle and Big Top (Gabriel & Dresden with the Bassbin Twin’s Pete Houser).
