We at Mixman Technologies, Inc., know that people's privacy is very important to them. With that in mind, our goal is to create a safe online environment of trust and community with our users. The following privacy policy discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this web site.

1. Information collected and what we do with it:

All downloads on this site, whether for a pay-for product, or FREE product, require a valid e-mail. You are automatically, "registered" when you purchase a download product. This auto-matically opts you in to our "Mixman Transmission" newsletters. You can unsubscribe from this after your first contact from us. We recommend that all purchasers of Mixman products remain on the recipient list of the "Mixman Transmission" newsletters, as they also contain information about Free updates and patches, and special offers available ONLY to paid customers. It is also IMPORTANT, that you enable your E-mail client (Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, Netscape etc.) to receive e-mail from @mixman.com.

We will never share or sell your personal purchase information with/to anyone else, unless we have your explicit permission to do so. Mixman does collect information from time to time about the users of our software for marketing purposes through product registration forms, purchase forms and feedback forms. This includes data on areas such as the type of software you use, your profession, etc. This data will only be used in the aggregate (for example, telling a business partner that 25% of Mixman Studio users own their own web-sites).

We may on occasion as part of a collaborative promotion allow one of our partners to contact you with a Special offer via e-mail. This is rare. In general, we do not have regular e-mailings, and try to keep the messages to a minimum, sharing only what we feel will be of benefit to our customers and user base.

We may sometimes use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site, but never for marketing or tracking purposes. Our site uses cookies to keep track of your shopping cart, but they expire when you leave our site. We also use cookies to save your email and name for most of our download forms. For example, when you fill out a form to download a FREE Mixman D-Plate(tm), all information you enter is saved in your browser locally as a cookie. The next time you download a different Mixman D-Plate, all fields automatically fill with what you last entered, making it quicker to get what you want.

Financial information that is collected is used to bill the user for products and services, and we keep a database of all financial transactions. Ordering shipped products online sometimes requires us to telephone you to resolve shipping problems, but we will never use your phone number for sales or marketing activities.

2. Security:

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Our sales server, which may request sensitive financial information (Credit card numbers, product order numbers, etc.) is secure and encrypted in transit by 40-bit export-grade encryption.

3. Other sites:

This site contains links to other sites. Mixman is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.

4. Choice/Opt-Out:

Mixman encourages you to find out about Internet privacy issues and ways to protect your privacy. We provide users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us at the point where we request information about the visitor. If at anytime you would like to be removed from our promotional/informational e-mail list, please send an e- mail that includes your full name to info@mixman.com.

At Mixman, we are well aware that the "signal-to-noise ratio" with regard to e-mail marketing is not ideal, and that the average person has an "In-box" filled with a lot of static. At Mixman, we strive to use E-mail blasts, strictly as a way to communicate information about products, services, and innovations and to send these Transmissions only to those who want to receive them. We try to keep the communications to a minimum.

Mixman uses a double-opt in system to verify that someone actually intended to sign up and provide their valid e-mail to us. All Free downloads of Mixman stipulate that you agree to receive at least one contact from us thereafter. Anyone who receives e-mail from Mixman will find unsub info at the bottom and may remove themselves at any time.

If you receive an e-mail from Mixman, it's because at one time or another you:

* Downloaded a Demo of a Mixman product
* You played with or received a Mixman eMix or Groove Gram
* You own a Mixman product
* You participated in a Mixman contest or promotion
* You participated on Radio Mixman or some other part of the My Mixzone
* You got some Mixman product for Free with a Sound Card, MP3 Player, or Computer
* You got some Mixman Music or Software from a Promo Disk at a music event or with a music magazine
* You have worked with us in some way
* You know someone who is or has been connected with Mixman

We will gladly remove anyone who does not wish to receive any communication from us in the future.
