Well, it's not hard, but it does take some skill and practice. BC and TC come with sensitivity settings which can be adjusted to auto-detect peak points. This automatic event-detection will often be all you need. This works well with clean sounds like drum patterns, it takes more skill with a long 'pad' or even a vocal. There are many easy to use graphic tools for slicing a beat, and a "one button press" gets you to TRK. We suggest experimenting, make several different edits of one source sound and save them all as TRKs -- then try them out in Mixman and see which one's sound best, and feel right under your fingers on from DM2.
