4. Why would I need to turn my Wav files into TRK files?

TRK files, the Mixman proprietary format, provide more power and flexibility within Mixman software. TRKs will automatically beat match with any other TRK in any tempo without a user having to do anything! TRK's are made of multiple samples (up to 128) and so when you perform Mixman (DM2 etc..) live, you get better response because the WAV doesn't start from the beginning every time.
